Ali Sharif (29 March 1983) was born in Shiraz, Iran. He studied Drama Directing at Azad University of Shiraz. He has completed Bachelor’s thesis on Acting’s method of twentieth century. He has been involved with film directing since 2005. During these years he continued film activities and made 7 short films.

He collaborated with Khane Honar Shiraz as Artistic Director, Manager of film department as well as a co-founder. During his activities in Khane Honar Shiraz he directed more than fifty commercial videos and produced 4 films for his students. He offered some workshops about photography and filmmaking. His most important workshops in this period were: Tarik Khane, a course (in 10 sessions) about analog photography, and; independent filmmaking workshop series that both has been run by himself.

In 2016 he made a video art titled “Fusion” that has shown in Vesal Gallery from 22 April to 13 May.

His last film is CHAOS. It is his first experimental film that has been shot from 2019 to 2020.
